Natural Walnut Coconut Cacao Biscuits

They're cookies, they're bliss balls, they're delicious baked nuggets of goodness.

High in fibre and a source of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. They are an ideal sweet treat you can have ready in 15 minutes to enjoy with your cup of tea.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 12 servings

Ingredients
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup raw walnuts
1/2 cup dried dates
1 tabs cacao nibs (or chocolate chips)
1 tabs water
1 tabs honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Method
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  • Set aside 12 walnut halves or pieces.

  • Natural ingredients

  • Add remaining walnuts and other ingredients to a food processor.
  • Blend until the mixture looks like large crumbs and starts to stick together.
  • Scoop out dessert spoonfuls of mixture and roll into 12 firm balls.


  • Place on baking tray and push a walnut piece into the top of each ball. Do not overly flatten the balls.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool the balls on the tray for a few minutes until they're firm enough to move to a cooling rack.
