No Bake Healthy Brownie
These chocolate brownies are the easiest and tastiest I have made so far. They are not only very nutritious, but do not contain any butter, sugar or flour and have a rich chocolate flavour. They are dense and moist and taste just like a normal brownie, without baking.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes additional time to rest in the fridge
Makes: 20 servings
Ingredients
2 cups walnuts
2 1/2 cups dates, pitted
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup unsalted toasted almonds
1/4 tsp salt
Method
Line a 9x13 inch pan with baking paper.
Roughly chop almonds and set aside.
In a food processor, place walnuts and blend on high until finely ground.
Add cocoa and salt and pulse to combine.
Add dates, one handful at a time, and pulse until the mixture ressembles cake crumbs.
Using a spatula, mix in chopped almonds to the walnut mix.
Place mixture into the prepared pan and press down with your hand or a flat glass surface until flat and firm.
Dust with some more cocoa powder if desired and place in the fridge to chill before cutting.
Enjoy your chocolate guilt free treat.
