Nutella Cheesecake
Nutella and Cheesecake? Sounds amazing doesn't it? It really is. I once ordered a when dining at an Italian restaurant. It was average, but it inspired me to make one that's sven better, and here it is. Enjoy.
Delicious just on its own
Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 8-12 servings
Ingredients
300 g of nutella
2x110g packets of Oreo sprinkles (see notes)
75 g unsalted butter
250 g cream cheese at room temperature
1/2 cup icing sugar
Method
In a small saucepan melt the butter over low heat until it all melts.
Biscuit sprinkles just like crushed biscuits without doing all the work
Place the Oreo biscuit sprinkles into a mixing bowl and add in melted butter.
Mix well until all the biscuit pieces have been coated with the butter.
Line a large pie dish with aluminum foil
Pour biscuit mixture into the dish, spread out evenly and press down firmly with a spoon.
Place biscuit base into the fridge to set for half an hour.
When the base is set start on the filling by adding icing sugar, cream cheese and nutella to a large bowl.
Using an electric mixer beat until cream cheese mixture is combined and smooth.
Pour mixture on top of the base and spread out evenly with a spatula.
Place in the fridge overnight to set.
To serve lift out of the dish by lifting up the sides of the aluminum foil and lift off onto a plate with an egg flip.
Serve on its own or with some cream as it is very rich.
Cheesecake set and ready to serve
Notes
Oreo biscuit sprinkles are something you can find in some Coles and IGA supermarkets in Australia.
They are for using with ice cream, but are perfect for this as you don't have to buy the full biscuits, remove the filling and crumble them.
This is what you need to look for
