Oat, Pear and Sultana Biscuits

These filling oat, pear and sultana biscuits are a delicious treat.

Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes, may be longer depending on your particular oven.
Makes: 24 servings

150g self raising flour
150g porridge oats
150g sugar
150g soft butter or margarine
100-150ml milk (you may need more or less, it varies)
1/2 cup of sultana's
1 pear, roughly diced

Preheat oven to 180 deg C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Sift the flour into a bowl.
Mix in oats, sultana's, apple and sugar.
Work butter/margarine through the mixture by hand (it's messy but makes them even better if my opinion).
Add milk in small amounts, mixing as you pour.
Mix until well combined.
Spoon onto a baking tray and shape into round-ish balls and press down on the top gently to flatten them.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or so, or until golden brown.
Leave to cool for 5 minutes before removing from tray.

when does the milk go in ?
After the butter/margarine has been mixed in, that small mistake hasn't been corrected yet sorry :(

Pear? I'm assuming you would substitute the pear for the apple in the recipe? It sounds like a great recipe, apart from the confusing title. Many thanks!
