Parsnip Crisps

A healthier form of crisps, this tasty snack has less calories, less fat, and counts towards your five a day. I used a T-Fal Actifry to cook them, but you can also use an oven. Based on the brands I used, each portion is about 23 calories.


Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes (25 minutes in the oven)
Makes: 10 servings

Ingredients
1 parsnip
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp vinegar
olive oil spritz


Method
  • If using an oven pre-heat it to 160C/ 140C fan/ 325F Gas Mark 3.



  • Using a mandolin, slice the parsnip into thin strips.



  • Sprinkle the strips with salt, then use a spritzer to spray olive oil over the parsnips.



  • Cook in the Actifry or oven.



  • Pour over the vinegar.
