Peanut Butter Dip

Peanut Butter Dip

I am a peanut butter addict! Sadly peanut butter like all good things has to be eaten in moderation, this recipe makes it go a little further. This is a great dip to spread on toast or crackers, to dip dried or fresh fruit slices into or to add to add to smoothies.

It has the same flavour and mouth-feel as peanut butter with half the calories!

Heaven in a jar.

Preparation Time:5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Standard Ingredients.

Ingredients
1/2 C Natural yogurt
1/4 C Natural peanut butter
1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp real vanilla essence
Sprinkle of salt

Optional
1 tsp of either of the following: chocolate chips, coconut, honey, stevia.

Method
Scrape with a knife to remove seeds.

  • Slice open and scoop out the insides of a vanilla bean and put in a bowl.

  • Add to the bowl the peanut butter and yogurt.

  • Mix well.

  • Add a sprinkling of salt and any of the optional added ingredients.

  • I chose chocolate chips this time.

  • Eat with fruit or crackers, or straight from the jar like me.

  • Will keep in the fridge for 1 week.

  • NOTE: Adding more peanut butter is a great idea but don't add less, you will lose the peanut butter flavour and texture which is the whole point!
