Peppermint Martini

Another Christmas recipe, this one takes time but it is so good. You need to make the peppermint Vodka first but it is worth it.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 500 mls Vodka 10 Martini's

Ingredients
Absolut Vodka 500 mls
Mini or full size red peppermint candy canes (Don't use green they make the voda an ugly colour)
Extra Mini candy canes for garnish
Soda water

Utentsils
Glass Bottle or Jar (with lid) Sterilised
Martin glasses

Method

Pour 500 mls of vodka into the sterilised bottle or jar

Add in 5-6 mini candy canes or break up about 4 large candy canes and add to the vodka, giving it a good shake.

Vodka takes at least 2 days for the candy canes to dissolve, shake occasionally to help them dissolve.

When candy canes are fully dissolved, taste vodka, it is sweet and can be drank as is. Adjust flavour by adding more candy canes if required.

When ready to serve add 50 mls to a martini glass, top with soda water leaving about 1 cm from the top of the glass and garnish with a mini candy cane on the side.
