Pesto Pizza

Pizza, pasta, pesto, you name it! I love Italian food. This pesto pizza is great for a quick snack or as a simple starter to any meal.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 8 slices

1/4 cup pine nuts for pesto
1 & a 1/2 cups fresh basil
2 cloves of garlic peeled
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
5 tablespoons of olive oil
Handful of pine nuts for on top
Pizza base

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
Add 1/4 cup pine nuts to a pan and dry roast on the stove top for 4-5 minutes until slightly browned
Take nuts off stove top and put in the processor with cheese, garlic and basil, process until finely chopped.
Slowly add in olive oil until all combined
Spread a generous serve over your pre cooked pizza base sprinkle with remaining un toasted nuts and cook for 10 minutes to warm the base and the pesto.
When done cut into 8 slices and enjoy.
