Pisang Goreng IndonesianStyle Banana Fritters

Pisang Goreng means fried banana and is a popular Indonesian street snack. It is made of sweet ripe banana, dipped in batter and deep-fried until crispy and golden. These banana fritters are so easy to make and they are a great snack or dessert for the family and kids.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Makes: 8 pieces

Ingredients
4 ducasse banana, peeled, cut into half lengthwise

For the Batter
85g rice flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
150ml water

Method
  • Make the batter by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl.

  • In a frying pan, heat enough oil to deep fry the banana.

  • Dip the banana in the batter then carefully drop into the hot oil and fry until both sides are crispy and golden brown.



  • Transfer the fried banana to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately.
