Cottage cheese is a delicious, healthy, but expensive source of protein many love to snack on. It can retail between £1.50 or £2.00 and is a slightly pricey snack I indulge in.
In a bid to save money I have made my own - it has a fresher taste than the stuff you buy, and you can guarantee it is better than what you'd ever buy because you know what's gone into it.
There are so many which are full fat, low fat, cream and chive flavoured, but I just want a normal, healthy, source of protein which I can enjoy without paying a hefty price.

4 pints organic whole milk
Half tsp salt
Tblsp whole probiotic yogurt
The cottage cheese will keep in the fridge for one week if kept covered.
