At Christmas time we always have a trifle, it's just not Christmas without it and trifle is a really simple dessert to make anyone can do it.
: 10-15 minutes
: Four hours for jelly to set
: serves 6-8
1 large jam sponge roll
4 cups of vanilla pouring custard
600 ml thickened cream
1 packet of jelly or quick set jelly
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 teaspoon of honey
Fruit of your choice I like to use some canned pears or peaches, canned of fresh passionfruit and fresh bananas
kiwi fruit, fresh pineapple and pawpaw cannot be used if you are adding fruit to the jelly, as the jelly will not set.
