Admittedly it is much easier to buy pasta from the shop, but I'm always interested in giving things a try, so one day I decided to try and make my own pasta. The one problem is, is that I don't have a pasta maker, so I did it all by hand. I also decided to make things difficult for myself by making penne pasta rather than lasagne sheets. While making the shapes was easy enough, it did take a long time. If you have time on your hands, then it is always worth a go, and if you have a pasta machine, then the process will be quick and easy.
There are two ways you can make pasta: with or without eggs. Some recipes just use flour and water, but for that extra richness, I used eggs. Nine small portions should be about 206 calories based on the brands I used.
