Originally I had a recipe for an orange and lavender cake, but aside from the fact I don't like lavender, I also had no idea where to get any unless I bought an entire plant. I therefore thought about what other herbs I could use instead, and thyme seemed like a good choice.

200g self-raising white flour
50g ground almonds
