Most of the time we associate scones with afternoon tea, and spreading lots of cream and jam, but if you ever get tired of too many sweet things, cheddar scones are a good savoury alternative. If you want to give them a bit of a kick, you can use a flavoured cheese. I used mature cheddar and a cheddar with jerk sauce and chilli. Based on the brands I used, each scone is about 111 calories.
