Chocolate Chai Porridge
Chocolate and chai are truly a match made in heaven!
For those that struggle to eat in the morning, this flavoursome combo certainly makes breakfasts more appealing!
Sweetened with banana and crammed with nutritious spices, this tastes like dessert, though can be enjoyed entirely guilt-free.
: 10 minutes
1/2 cup (50g) oats
1 cup oat milk
1 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cardamon
1/2 very ripe banana, mashed
25g raw chocolate, to top
Throw all ingredients (except chocolate) into a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer, stirring consistently for 3-5 mins.
If you want a thicker texture, leave over a low heat for a few minutes longer, otherwise remove from heat and spoon into a serving bowl.
Top with the chocolate and enjoy warm.
