Quick Beef Yakisoba Noodles

Yakisoba is a classic Japanese street food. It is very popular in Japan. This version is made with beef fillet slices, vegetables served with thick, sweetish yakisoba seasoning. A large plate full of awesomeness in 15 minutes.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3 servings



Ingredients
150g thinly sliced beef fillet
3 packets of yakisoba noodles
100g snow peas
1 grated carrot
1 grated zucchini
30ml canola oil
100ml yakisoba sauce/seasonings
30ml of chicken stock
30ml Kewpie mayonnaise
5g roasted sesame seeds
5g seaweed flakes

Method
  • Heat the canola oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

  • Brown the beef fillets first.

  • Then add the snow pea and cook through.



  • Stir in the grated carrots and zucchini.



  • Cook for 5 minutes or until wilted.

  • Remove and set aside.

  • Add the yakisoba noddles in a separate wok.



  • Add the chicken stock.

  • Let the yakisoba noodles absorb all the stock.

  • Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture into the large wok.



  • Stir in the yakisoba sauce/seasoning.



  • Stir fry for 5 minutes.

  • Arrange the snow pea on the plate.

  • Add the yakisoba noodles. Place the beef fillets on top.

  • Garnish with Kewpie mayonnaise, roasted sesame and seaweed flakes.





  • Serve immediately.
