Raw Seed Slice

This raw seed slice is both healthy and surprisingly delicious. It is perfect for packing into school lunch boxes or as an afternoon snack. The recipe caters for those with food intolerances and is relatively easy for children to make - they will enjoy getting the mixture all over their fingers as well.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 minute
Serves: Approximately 9 slices

Raw Seed Slice

1 1/2 cups puffed rice
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup currants
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup rice malt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cocoa

Melt the coconut oil and rice malt in a saucepan for one minute.

Pour the liquid coconut oil and rice malt into a mixing bowl and add the remaining dry ingredients.

Add seeds and currants

Press the mixture into a glass baking dish and freeze for twenty minutes before cutting into slices to enjoy for afternoon tea or a healthy snack.
