Rhubarb Syrup

This syrup is so quick and easy to make, and its great to use for lots of things. My favourite is to add it to soda water to make a refreshing summer drink.
The finished product

Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3/4 cups

Ingredients
2 stalks of rhubarb
1/2 cup of raw organic sugar
2 cups of water

Method
  • Cut rhubarb into thirds and add to a small saucepan with the water and sugar.
  • Bring to the boil, continuing to cook until the rhubarb is soft.
  • Bringing the syrup to the boil

  • Strain the rhubarb over a bowl.
  • Pour the liquid into a sterilised jar and allow to cool.
  • When cool place syrup in the fridge.
  • Keep the rhubarb it can be used to make pudding, use it to make apple and rhubarb crumble. There are so many options.
