A good choice for a quick and healthy breakfast, but preferring salty taste than sweet milky flavour in the morning. It looks, feels and tastes like Cantonese beef congee, good for the whole family, can be served with some roti or buns.
Ingredients 120g oat (quick cook)
200g beef mince
1 long green spring onion, chopped.
1 tbsp corn starch
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fine ground white pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
1/3 tsp olive oil
800 ml cold water
Marinate beef mince with some chopped spring onion, 1 tbsp corn starch,1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp white pepper, 1/2 tsp sugar and 1/3 tsp olive oil.
Make into 12 pieces of meatballs, set aside.
Put 120g oat, 1/2 tsp salt and 800 ml cold water to a deep pan.
stir well and cook over medium heat.
When mixture starts to boil, put all meatballs to pan.
When all meatballs float after a few minutes, it should be done.
Sprinkle with a little pepper, salt and chopped spring onion, then serve.
