Satay Pork Balls

Delicious pork balls with a creamy satay dipping sauce. Great for entertaining or enjoy as a main meal with steamed rice. Pork can be substituted for chicken or beef mince.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4-6

Ingredients
500g minced pork
2 cloves garlic minced
3 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
3 tbsp chopped coriander
vegetable oil for frying
For the satay Sauce
4 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp fish sauce
1 cup coconut milk
1 clove garlic crushed
1 tsp grated green ginger
2 tbsp chopped corriander
1 chilli finely chopped (optional)

Method
  • Combine the minced pork, garlic, fish sauce, hoisin sauce and coriander in a bowl and mix well to combine. Use wet hands to roll pork balls.
  • Fry the pork balls in hot vegetable oil until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

  • In a separate saucepan, cook garlic, ginger and chilli in a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the peanut butter, brown sugar, fish sauce and coconut milk. Stir to combine until sauce thickens. Add chopped coriander.
  • Serve sauce beside pork balls or with steamed rice as a main meal.
