Savoury Basa Fish Fillets with Asparagus

Looking for a simple, nice and budget fish recipe? This is a good idea. Basa fish fillet is not expensive, and its texture is super soft and smooth. The pan-frying method can also make them crisp outside and soft inside, without the help of a deep fryer.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 1-2 servings

2 basa fish fillets
some sea salt
some fresh/dried thyme
some pepper ground
1 fresh lemon/lime
some fish sauce
some cooked asparagus
Extra-light olive oil spray


Defrost basa fish fillets, wipe dry.

Chop into halves.
On each side, sprinkle with some pepper ground, sea salt and fresh/dried thyme. Squeeze some fresh lime/lemon juice. Set aside for 5 minutes.

Heat a non-stick frypan over medium-low heat, spray about 1 tbsp extra light olive oil evenly on pan.
Lay fillets on pan, fry each side for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

Transfer to a serving plate.

Top with some extra fresh thyme and some cooked asparagus.
Drizzle with fish sauce on top and the plate. Serve.
