Shortbread Fingers
Sweet, crumbly, and melt in the mouth, these shortbread biscuits are more satisfying than ones you buy in the shop.
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 30
Ingredients
125g margarine
55g caster sugar
1 tbsp granulated sugar
200g plain white flour
Method
Pre-heat the oven to 190 & #3872 ;C/ 170 & #3872 ;C fan/375& #3872 ;F56 Gas.
Cream together the margarine and caster sugar until it is light and fluffy.
Beat in the flour to form a soft dough.
Roll out the dough into a square and use a knife to slice into finger length pieces.
Prick the biscuits with a fork at the top middle and bottom.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake in the oven.
