Why shhhhh? Because this recipe uses CHILLI but the kids won't notice if you don't tell them.

Ingredients
2kg diced beef suitable for slow cooking
2 medium brown onions
1 tin of strained, rinsed kidney beans
4 large cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of tomato paste
1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
4 tbsp coriander seeds
1 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp celery seeds
1 tsp ground turmeric
olive oil
1 cup of water
1/4 cup
Insanely Healthy Concentrated Vegetable Stock or stock cubes instead
Method

Dry roasting seeds
Dry roast seeds for 5 minutes on low-medium heat.
Place them in a herb grinder or food processor and turn to powder.

Ground up ready for cooking
Brown garlic and onion in oil.
Add seeds back to the pan with oil, garlic, and onion and other ground herbs.
Add liquid ingredients and bring to the boil.

Liquid added
Reduce heat to a very low temperature and cook (covered) for two or three hours or longer.
Add kidney beans 20 minutes before serving.
Serve with brown or white rice or
Cheat's Corn Bread with Garlic and Herb Butter and plenty vegetables, and a good dollop of sour cream. Be sure to tell the kids that they're eating something called Beef Shhhhh but not why it's called that. Their faces after they've eaten are priceless!
(Add a sprinkle of chilli flakes for anyone who likes more chilli)
