Smoked Trout Linguine

A satisfying pasta dish that is ready in less than 20 minutes. Quality ingredients make a world of difference so don’t scrimp. Add in your favourite fresh herbs to suit your taste.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients
300 g dry linguine pasta
100 g smoked ocean trout
60 g butter
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 onion, finely chopped
1 cup thickened cream
1 cup chicken stock
2 tbs chopped dill, optional
pepper

Method
  • Heat oil in pan over medium and gently fry garlic and onion until soft.

  • Add cream, stock and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes until flavours have combined and sauce should thicken slightly.
  • Meanwhile cook linguine as per directions on pack.
  • Gently tear trout into whatever size you like.

  • Add trout to the sauce, cover and simmer for a further 3 – 4 minutes until trout has warmed through.

  • When cooked, drain linguine and add to creamy mix.
  • If desired, garnish with dill and serve with crusty garlic bread or a fresh salad.
