Spiced Sweet Potato Chips

This is an easy sweet potato dish that can be served as a side or, as I like to eat it when I'm craving vegies, as a main. Full of flavour these chips balance nicely with a fresh dipping sauce such as sour cream.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 2 servings

Ingredients
1 Large Sweet potato, cut into roughly 1-cm chips
1/2-1 Tbs Sunflower Oil
1/4 tsp Chili Blend Flakes
1/2 tsp Cumin
1/2 tsp Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste

Method
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Cut sweet potato in half length ways then into chip lengths of roughly 1cm in width.



Mix sweet potato, oil, chili and spices in a large bowl until all chips are evenly coated.



Lay sweet potato on a baking tray covered in foil or baking paper. Be sure not to stack the sweet potato on top of each other or they won’t cook evenly.



Bake for 15 minutes then flip chips over. Bake for another 10-15 minutes until browned to your liking.

Serving Suggestion: serve warm with a side of sour cream
