Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Spicy Roasted Chickpeas are a wonderful movie snack at all times of the year as they can be eaten hot or cold.

Easy to make and spices can be adapted to your preferred taste.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30mins minutes
Makes: 2 servings


1 can of chickpeas
1 tablespoon of Mexican chilli powder
1 teaspoon of garam masala
1 teaspoon of turmeric

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

In a colander lightly wash the chickpeas and then place into a large bowl.

Dust the chickpeas with the Mexican chilli powder, garam masala and turmeric and mix through thoroughly.

Line a baking tray with aluminium foil and scatter the chickpeas evenly over it.
Place in the oven and bake for approximately 25-30mins, turning the chickpeas after 15mins.

Remove from oven and allow to cool on the tray.
Serve warm or cold. These chickpeas can be sealed in an airtight container for up to a week.
