Steamed Garlic Black Bean Pork Ribs
A delicious steamed dish of silky smooth pork spare ribs, marinated in fragrant garlic black bean sauce.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
500g pork spare ribs, washed
Chopped spring onion, to serve
Steamed vegetables, to serve
Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
Marinade
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornflour
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 red chillies, chopped
2 tbsp garlic black bean sauce
Method
Cut the washed spare ribs into 3-cm pieces.
Mix the spare ribs with all the marinade ingredients. Toss to coat, cover and leave to marinade for 1 hour in the fridge.
Preheat the steamer.
Arrange the marinated spare ribs on a heat-proof dish. Steam on high heat, covered, for 15 minutes until cooked through.
Carefully remove from the steamer. Scatter with chopped spring onions and serve immediately with steamed jasmine rice and vegetables.
