Steamed Garlic Black Bean Pork Ribs

A delicious steamed dish of silky smooth pork spare ribs, marinated in fragrant garlic black bean sauce.



Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
500g pork spare ribs, washed
Chopped spring onion, to serve
Steamed vegetables, to serve
Steamed jasmine rice, to serve

Marinade
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornflour
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 red chillies, chopped
2 tbsp garlic black bean sauce

Method
  • Cut the washed spare ribs into 3-cm pieces.



  • Mix the spare ribs with all the marinade ingredients. Toss to coat, cover and leave to marinade for 1 hour in the fridge.



  • Preheat the steamer.

  • Arrange the marinated spare ribs on a heat-proof dish. Steam on high heat, covered, for 15 minutes until cooked through.



  • Carefully remove from the steamer. Scatter with chopped spring onions and serve immediately with steamed jasmine rice and vegetables.
