Sticky Garlic Prawns

So quick and easy to make, yet absolutely delicious, these buttery garlic prawns can be served as a starter, a tapas dish, alongside a salad, or simply on their own for a tasty supper. Meat-eaters can add chopped chorizo to the pan before the prawns to cook for a few minutes first for even more flavour. Great served with crusty bread to dip into the butter.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
A very large wedge of butter
3 cloves of garlic
Large handful fresh parsley
I x 200g pack peeled, cooked prawns

Method
  • Chop the garlic into very small pieces.
  • Wash the parsley thoroughly and spin in a salad spinner or shake until dry.
  • Chop the parsley very finely.
  • Rinse the prawns and pat dry with kitchen towel.
  • Gently heat the butter in a large frying pan until just melted.
  • Add the garlic and fry until just golden.
  • Add the prawns and fry for a couple of minutes until cooked through.
  • Turn out onto a plate to serve or simply enjoy straight from the pan.
  • Serve with fresh crusty bread which can be dipped into the butter to soak up the flavour.
  • Alternatively, enjoy alongside Raw Thai Citrus Salad .
