Tahini Chocolate Avocado Mousse

This is an unusual mix of flavours, and is very easy to make even though there are a lot of ingredients in it. There is no cooking, just use your processor.

I made 4 desserts out of this mixture however it is quite rich and next time I would make each one smaller and make 5!

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 minutes
Serves: 4 -5

Ingredients
2 very ripe avocados
115 g dark chocolate (Lindt 70%), melted
¼ cup cacao powder
¼ to ½ cup milk -you could use almond milk for vegan
2 - 3 tbsp date syrup - you could use honey
¼ tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp tahini paste
Pinch sea salt

Method
  • Put the avocado flesh in a food processor.

  • Add the melted chocolate, cacoa powder, milk, date syrup, vanilla, tahini paste and salt.


  • Puree this till it is combined and creamy.

  • Spoon the mousse into four dishes and chill for at least two hours.


  • I served it with a bought caramel custard though it would be nice with cream also. Or even add ½ tsp cardamom to the cream and a tbsp sugar.
