Have you ever tried a store bought brownie and thought, "Gross! What a waste of calories!"? If so, then have you ever considered making your own brownies over the weekend? They make more, cost less, and taste better. If you can't believe what you're reading, then try it. What do you have to lose?
Ingredients 1 2/3 cups of sugar
1 1/3 cups of all purpose flour
3/4 cup of Hershey's baking cocoa
1/4 tsp. of salt
1/2 tsp. of baking powder
2 Tbsp. of water
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) of butter
2 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 cups of chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 13" x 9" pan.
Mix all of your dry ingredients (sugar, flour, baking cocoa, salt, and baking powder) together in a big bowl.
Stir in your wet ingredients (eggs, water, butter, and vanilla extract).
Make sure you stir thoroughly, until it looks nice and doughy.
Spread the brown, gooey mixture across your greased pan, without pressing down.
Put brownies into the preheated oven for 20-26 minutes.
Take brownies out of the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips all over them. Note: if chocolate chips are put on right after the brownies are taken out of the oven, then the chocolate chips will be completely melted.
Once chocolate chips have melted, spread the chocolate over the top of the brownies.
