Tuna Mornay Casserole

Tuna Mornay is such a great dish to have up your sleeve, it's quick, easy and really delicious. Tuna Monray is inspired by the French and being so has lots of creamy white sauce and cheese - bliss.



Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients
400g tuna
1 bottle white sauce
1 broccoli head
1 brown onion
6 free range eggs
1 ear or can of corn
1/2 c grated cheese-mixed
1/4 c bread crumbs

Rice or pasta to serve.



Method
  • Put 6 eggs on to hard boil and turn the oven onto 200C.

  • Saute the diced brown onion with the chopped broccoli head.


  • Add in the drained tuna and corn. Stir until hot.


  • Pour in the white sauce and combine until the mixture is very hot.



  • Peel and slice the eggs.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and cover the top with the sliced eggs.



  • Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese and put in a hot oven.



  • Cook for about 5 minutes or until the top is crisp and browning.



  • Serve with rice or pasta and some fresh black pepper.
