Turkey Soup

Make use of leftover turkey bones and meat by making a delicious soup.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour
Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients
1.7L boiling water
Turkey carcass or bones from a turkey joint (with meat still on)
½ swede
1 tbsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tbsp dried chives
1 tsp black peppercorns
¼ tsp chilli flakes
50g red lentils
50g green lentils
50g frozen onions


Method
  • Simmer the carcass/bones in a pressure cooker.



  • Chop the swede and add to the pressure cooker.



  • Stir in all the other ingredients, put the lid on, and simmer for one hour.



  • Remove the carcass/bones, and then pour everything else into a blender and liquify.
