Two Classic Recipes for a Kids Party
These are essential for any kids party and you can usually find the recipes on the side of the cereal box, but just in case, here they are again.
Honey Joys and Chocolate Crackles, part of every Aussie kids childhood
The good thing about these recipes is that your kids can help make them too, and they can be made well in advance.
Chocolate Crackles
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 20 servings
Chocolate crackles if you want to get fancy sprinkle with 100s and 1000s or drizzle with melted chocolate
Ingredients
4 cups Rice Bubbles
1 cup icing sugar
1 cup desiccated coconut
3 tablespoons cocoa
250g copha, chopped
Method
Line a cupcake or muffin tray with paper patty cases.
Mix together all the dry ingredients
Mix together the rice bubbles, coconut, icing sugar and cocoa in a large bowl.
Yes copha is quite gross, just dont think about it
In a saucepan slowly melt the copha, cool slightly before pouring over the rice bubbles.
Mix carefully until all the rice bubbles are coated.
Spoon into paper cases and refrigerate for an hour or so or until firm.

Ingredients
90g margarine or butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon honey
4 cups cornflakes
Method
Preheat the oven to 150C and line a cupcake or mini muffin tray with paper cases.

Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan and add the honey and sugar, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and butter is frothing.
Add the cornflakes and mix well until they are all covered.
Spoon into paper cases.
Bake in the slow oven for about 10 minutes.
Allow to cool before letting kids anywhere near them.
