Vanilla Iced Tea

It's always good to have a refreshing drink on hand in the warm weather. This recipe for vanilla iced tea is quick, easy and economical to make.You can substitute lemon juice for the vanilla to make lemon iced tea.

Vanilla Iced Tea
Refreshing Vanilla Iced Tea - by Colmo

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Makes: At least 3 servings

2 teabags
1 cup of boiling water
1/4 cup of sugar
2 - 3 teaspoons vanilla essence depending on taste

Vanilla Iced Tea
Steep the teabags in boiling water - by Colmo

Steep the teabags in the boiling water
Add the sugar and vanilla and stir till dissolved
Top up to 750 ml with cold water (about 3 1/2 cups)
Chill and serve

Keeps for several days in the fridge and is a healthier alternative to fizzy drinks or cordials.
