Vegan Biscuits

These cruelty-free biscuits are so simple to make and a sure hit with friends. They can be served warm with jam or let them cool and decorate with icing.

If using almond milk in this recipe then there is no need for sugar in the mixture as they will be sweet enough.

Preparation Time: 8 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 24 servings


4 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar (optional - unnecessary if using almond milk)

1 1/2 Cups Almond Milk/Soy Milk

1/2 Cup of vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon salt


Pre-heat oven to 220 degrees celsius and line a baking tray with grease proof paper.

Mix the flour, salt and sugar together in a large bowl.

Add the almond/soy milk and vegetable oil until the mixture becomes dough like.

Use your hands to then knead the dough for approximately 1 minute.

Lightly dust your kitchen surface, place your dough onto the surface and use a rolling pin to roll the mixture to approximately 1cm thick.

Use a cookie cutter to cut your desired shapes and place on your baking tray.

Bake in the oven for approximately 10minutes until starting to go light golden brown.

Remove from the oven and place on cooling rack.

Enjoy warm fresh from the oven or cooled and decorated with icing!
