What's your favourite sandwich filling?

by Lindsay Law (follow)
Sandwich (29)
I had the most unusual sandwich today: Cream cheese, cucumber, strawberries, and black pepper, on walnut bread.

Sandwich, cucumber, cream cheese, strawberry

Contrary to my expectations, it was absolutely delicious.

What's your favourite sandwich filling? And do you have any ones that you like that are really weird?

Sandwich, cucumber, cream cheese, strawberry

I have always been a fan of cheese and jam, or bacon and jam.

My ver favourite would be a veggie beans burger with mustard, onion and dill pickle slices.... Yum.
Favourite sandwich filling =
chicken liver pate with finely sliced celery, or
vegemite and lettuce or
chicken with finely sliced celery, thick cream (yes cream not yogurt or cream cheese) hardboiled egg, salt and a lot of black pepper or
Anchovy paste from a tube and imported - (not Pecks Anchovette), butter, lettuce.

Sliced Apple and cheese :-)
Dark rye, granny smith slices, cheddar cheese; nutmeg
On sourdough, liverwurst/liversausage and thinly sliced Spanish onion. Also, on white/sourdough, butter, fried black pudding (morcilla, Boudin noir...crispy on the outside and soft in the middle) and HP or brown sauce!
I have a few!

BLAT - Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado and Tomato

Chicken and Salad - shredded chicken with mayonnaise, lettuce, carrot and cucmber

Eggs and Mayo - Boiled eggs mashed up with mayonnaise and chopped chives
The only combo I like that people seem to find weird is vegemite and tomato :)
