Wholemeal Flatbread

This is a simple flatbread recipe. Easy to make, it goes well with soup or dip. Here are some of my bread making tips . Based on the brands I used each flatbread should be about 135 calories.

Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 6 minutes
Makes: 12 servings

Ingredients
500g wholemeal bread flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp fast action yeast
1 tbsp mixed dried herbs
1 tbsp soya milk
300ml water

Method
  • Mix the flour, salt and yeast together.
  • Gradually add the water to form a dough.
  • Prove the dough for about an hour.
  • Divide the dough into twelve and roll out into flats.
  • Grill the flatbread for three minutes on each side.
  • Brush the flatbreads with milk and sprinkle over the dried herbs.
