These whole meal scones are surprisingly light and have a great rise for a generous portion.

Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 9 - 10 servings
Ingredients
250g whole meal flour
250g strong whole meal bread flour
75g margarine
20g Truvia sweetener (or 75g caster sugar)
2 tbsp baking powder
230ml almond milk
3 eggs
Method
Mix the flours sweetener/sugar,and baking powder together.
Rub in the margarine to form a breadcrumb consistency.
Beat in two eggs and the milk to form a dough.
Knead the dough for six minutes.
Roll out the dough to 2 inches thick, and cut out scones using a cookie cutter.
Beat the remaining egg with a fork, and then brush it over the scones as a glaze.
Chill the scones in the fridge for half an hour and pre-heat the oven to 200 ༠C/ 180 ༠C fan/400 ༠F/6 Gas.
