This is a delicious moist cake with juicy pear and yummy dark chocolate. The recipe has been adapted from Food52.

Makes: 9-inch cake
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup canola oil
3 pears (peeled, cored and diced)
250g of dark chocolate chunks
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line the bottom of a 9-inch cake tin with baking paper.
Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Whisk in the yogurt.
Stir in the dry ingredients a little at a time. When completely incorporated, fold in the canola oil until the batter looks like the picture above.
Pour one third of the batter into the cake tin and sprinkle two-thirds of the pear and chocolate over the batter. Pour the rest of the batter on top of this and smooth it out.
Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate and pears on top.
Bake the cake for 60 minutes or so or until a toothpick inserted runs clean. Let it cool for 5 minutes before taking it out of the tin.
